Job Description (Volunteer Position)  

Title:     Evening Session Greeter

Supervisor: Volunteer Coordinator   

Under the direction of the Volunteer Coordinator, evening session greeter volunteers help MSW maintain a secure and welcoming evening program. Volunteers are responsible for the following:

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Greeting

• Welcome clients and visitors
• Instruct visitors to sign-in
• Assist clients & visitors as needed

Security:

• Maintain a log of unusual occurrences & report to counseling staff
• Instruct visitors on facility rules as needed

Substitution:

• Fill-in for other volunteers as needed
• Notify supervisor of absence promptly

Qualifications:

• Friendly disposition
• Dependable to accomplish tasks on set schedule
• Ability to maintain positive working relationships with MSW staff members, clients, and the general public
• Understanding of woman’s issues
• Ability to maintain confidentiality

Note: Evening Session Greeters are invited to have dinner with MSW’s residential clients and evening staff while they are on duty.
