MANAGEMENT TEAM

Bruce JackBruce Jack , Interim Executive Director: Bruce holds a Master of Science in Education with an emphasis in psychology from the University of Wisconsin.  For the past seven years, Bruce was the Executive Director of one of our partner agencies, Ritter Center in San Rafael, an agency serving the working poor and homeless of Marin County. He was instrumental in building the Ritter Health Center into a licensed community clinic serving people without health insurance at no cost. 

Bruce has 31 years of professional experience, 27 in the administration, management and supervision of social model residential and/or outpatient mental health, substance abuse and criminal justice treatment programs, having served as the Associate Executive Director for the East Bay Community Recovery Project in Oakland.

Bruce is also adjunct faculty at the University of San Francisco, College of Professional Studies teaching in their Master in Nonprofit Administration program. 

Vickie Marti

Vicki Marti, Director of Programs , has more than 20 years of experience specializing in substance abuse treatment. She has spent much of her professional career at Marin Services for Women, starting with designing and implementing MSW's first Outpatient Treatment Program in 1988.  During this period she also served on the Marin County Dual Diagnosis Task Force.  In 1996 Vicki left MSW for several years and joined the clinical treatment team at Futures in Recovery in San Francisco.  In 1999 Vicki returned to MSW to design and implement the expansion of MSW’s services, including the creation of the highly successful Day Treatment Program and the addition of specialized Trauma Services for all of MSW’s clients.  In addition to her work at MSW, Vicki also serves as a State Commissioner on the California Medical Assistance Commission, a position she has held since her appointment by the Governor of California in 2003.  Vicki holds a Master's Degree in Clinical Psychology from John F. Kennedy University School of Professional Psychology.

Brian K. Wilson, Interim CFO : Brian provides Interim CFO services and  financial management consulting to nonprofit organizations.  His clients have included social service agencies, foundations, environmental groups, and faith-based organizations.  Brian has also taught workshops in financial management and budgeting for nonprofits.  He received his B.A. from Oberlin College.  Brian is a member of CompassPoint’s Finance Professionals Network, and he serves on the Advisory Boards of two community-based organizations, Urban Sprouts and Juntos Adelantes.

 

Vicky Smirnoff

Vicky Smirnoff, Development & Communications Director: Before coming to MSW In April of 2007, Vicky had spent her entire working life thus far in the corporate world. She has spent the last 18 years as a small business owner and executive in Marin County, and has had Executive level responsibility for all business development strategy, execution and management. Her corporate sales, marketing and client services experience in the corporate world easily translate to the Development environment. Vicky also has had Executive and Managerial responsibility for all accounting and financial matters including financial statement analysis, budget creation, GL audit, and GAAP compliance.

In the non profit arena she has served as Foundation Treasurer, Club President, Fundraising Chair, and Events Chair during her 16 years with the Rotary Club of Terra Linda. Her volunteer experience includes revenue and expense allocation, fund accounting, revenue analysis, goal setting and budget preparation in a non profit environment. She has have over twenty five years of experience in collaboration, team building, leadership, strategy creation, implementation, delegation, and evaluation. 


Lynn McLeod , Residential Program Director,
comes to MSW with seventeen years experience working in therapeutic residential programs. Her experience encompasses both the clinical aspects of treatment and program development and management. For eleven years she was clinical staff and Assistant Program Supervisor at Braun Place, residential treatment for severely emotionally disturbed adolescents. For the seven years immediately preceding her arrival at MSW, Lynn was the Independent Living Skills Coordinator at Four Winds West, a transitional residential program for young adults with mental illness. Lynn is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and maintains a private practice in Berkeley and Corte Madera. She received her BA from Stanford University, her Master's Degree in Clinical Psychology from John F. Kennedy University, and is a graduate of The Psychotherapy Institute in Berkeley, CA.
