Job Description (Volunteer Position)

Title:Outreach Volunteer

Supervisor:  Development Manager

Under the direction of the Development Manager, outreach volunteers help Marin Services for Women spread the word to local doctors and others involved in women’s health.  Volunteers play a vital role informing health providers of MSW’s role in helping women recover their lives from addiction.  Some outreach activities can be performed from home.  Volunteers may be involved in one or more of the following:

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Communication

Phone calls

Emailing

Online listings research and placement

Reporting
Providing feedback on outgoing communication

Qualifications:

Good communication skills and phone manners

Dependable and capable of accomplishing tasks on set schedule

Understanding of women’s issues

Ability to maintain a positive working relationship with MSW staff members, clients and the general public

Ability to maintain confidentiality of agency operations and clients

Requirements:

People in recovery will need to have one continuous year of being clean and sober
