Veteran Workforce Readiness Program

Women who serve our country in uniform are the fastest growing demographic in the U.S. Military – yet nearly all the veterans services offered were designed by and for men.  Women’s needs are unique.  Female veterans’ needs are especially unique.  We know now that women experience every bit as much trauma as men do in military service – and frequently even more so due to Military Sexual Trauma. 

• 78% of female veterans experience sexual assault and and additional 6% experience an attempted sexual assault.

The combination of trauma and substance use can leave a woman seriously challenged in her re-entry to civilian life.

For Female Veterans:

Remove the barriers you face in the civilian life and the civilian workforce and gain economic self sufficiency by dealing with your substance use and/or trauma in a safe, supportive atmosphere. Paige Jenkins, Veterans Program Coordinator, is a Veteran herself and can help answer your questions and concerns.

MSW's Economic Self Sufficiency Program assists female veterans who struggle with trauma and substance abuse issues that create barriers to employment in a civilian workforce. MSW is one of the few treatment providers that include an innovative Trauma Services Program Component to help women learn to cope with their trauma and PTSD. MSW provides a safe, supportive, women-only female veteran drug and alcohol rehab, addiction, and trauma treatment program. In addition women in this program receive additional services, such as:

• Intensive case management emphasizing surpassing barriers to civilian employment
• Trauma recovery and coping skills
• Substance Use Disorder recovery groups
• Connections with community resources for job readiness and placement
• Computer skills enhancement training
• Resume writing and job search coaching
