Job Description (Volunteer Position)  

Title:     Creative Resource Volunteer

Supervisor: Volunteer Coordinator   

Under the direction of the Volunteer Coordinator, creative resource volunteers help MSW with special projects intended to inspire & educate MSW’s clients, staff and the general public. Volunteers may be involved in one or more of the following:

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Planning & Designing:

• Offering ideas for current and future projects
• Research
• Space planning
• Creating lists of needed supplies to be purchased or donated

Special Projects:

• Mural painting in the gym
• Mural painting in the courtyard
• Graphic design for publications
• Educational visual display pieces
• Other projects as agreed upon by the volunteer & supervisor

Qualifications:

• Experience with one or more art mediums
• Ability to use equipment as needed
• Dependable to accomplish tasks on set schedule
• Ability to maintain positive working relationships with MSW staff members, clients, and the general public
• Understanding of woman’s issues
