Job Description (Volunteer Position)
Title: Child Development Special Facilitator
Supervisor: Child Development Coordinator
Under the direction of the Child Development Coordinator, child development special facilitators provide special activities for the child development center on a weekly or monthly basis. Volunteer may be involved in one or more of the following
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Lead special sessions
- Art projects
- Story tellers
- Reading
- Gardening
- Music
- Other child development/educational activities
Referral
- Notify clinical staff of unusual occurrences or worrisome trends with children and/or their mothers
Qualifications:
- Experience working with children
- Creative
- Dependable & punctual
- Ability to maintain positive working relationships with MSW staff members, clients & their children, and the general public
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of clients & their children
- Volunteers 18 and older will be required to have a background check. See Human Resources and the Volunteer Coordinator for details.
- Volunteers under the age of 18 will be required to have a letter of recommendation from their school.
